One of the best basketball events of the season in Kentucky (one that DOESN’T include a heated UK versus U of L rivalry) is coming to the Owensboro Sportscenter on Wednesday, December 14 for some family-friendly fun! The Harlem Globetrotters will take the court for a night of tricks, dunks and all-out athleticism.
The Globetrotters are in the midst of their first-ever tour that includes fan interaction every game, and you won’t want to miss these amazing basketball players show off their incredible skills! As the Globetrotters say, it’s everyone’s game this time around, and you might even get lucky enough to participate with them in front of thousands of people.
From trick shots to court-length shots to “how did they do that” shots, you’ll be awe-inspired by these professional athletes as they perform. You’ll see some of the fastest ball-handling and dribbling on the planet, as well as insane crossovers and even the team’s own four-point shot during this incredible experience.
And that’s not all! During this four-quarter game, watch as the Globetrotters face off against the Washington Generals for a slam dunk contest. We can’t promise anything just yet, but you might even see a backboard shatter!
Those who want some extra time with the players can do that by grabbing a meet-and-greet pass.
Tickets previously purchased for the postponed January 6 game are being honored for the Dec. 14 game, but for those who haven’t scored tickets yet, you can get them right here for only $23! Parking is $5, and there will be a full concession stand available at the Owensboro Sportscenter. The game kicks off at 7 p.m.
