On October 22, you can grab your favorite people and spend the day letting your inner artist get creative with a day of pumpkin painting. Pick your pumpkin from the patch and enjoy free paints and brushes as you make a masterpiece. Pumpkin prices vary based on size and style, and the event runs from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

BlOktoberfest

Celebrate Oktoberfest with a twist at downtown Owensboro’s 2nd Annual BlOktoberfest! Bringing together a variety of downtown businesses and local artisans and musicians for a full day of family-friendly fun, you can celebrate fall in the best way! This year, enjoy live music all day, a stein holding competition and some of the best beer in Kentucky from a number of bars and restaurants. BlOktoberfest will be held on Saturday, October 22 from 2-8 p.m. 

Reid’s Orchard Apple Fest          

One of Owensboro’s best festivals of the year, the Reid’s Orchard Apple Festival will be held for two days on October 22 and 23 this weekend! Celebrate all things fall with tons of amazing food (including a variety of barbecue), delicious sweets and pumpkins and apples galore! Shop from dozens of amazing vendors for fall and holiday decor, and enjoy the great outdoors with your friends and family! This will be the LAST Apple Festival held at Reid’s Orchard, so be sure to make it count! Parking is $5 and the festival runs from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
