This concert will also feature Paul Hindemith’s Symphonic Metamorphosis on Themes by Carl Maria von Weber, closing out with Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4. This is a great way to be introduced to the sounds of the symphony from a talented group of musicians.

This beloved fan favorite will mesmerize listeners with holiday classics combined with new sounds from The Nutcracker, A Christmas Carol and Sleigh Ride. This is the most festive and memorable holiday event for the entire family to enjoy!

Owensboro Symphony will collaborate with violinist Sandy Cameron on January 28 to bring you Cinematic Romance. Enjoy an evening of Hollywood’s most romantic movie scores with music from Gone with the Wind, Romeo and Juliet and Casablanca. Described as “brilliant” by the Washington Post, Cameron is regarded as one of the most strikingly unique artists of her generation, and you won’t want to miss the sound of her beautiful violin in Edward Scissorhands Suite.

Up next is Night at the Museum on March 4, where the Owensboro Symphony brings history to life on an adventurous journey through the museum. Music from Indiana Jones, The Mummy, Night at the Museum and more will showcase an exhilarating performance from these amazing artists and a thrilling night for those in the audience.

To end this year’s season, you can enjoy the wonder and whimsy of symphonic music featuring Kentucky native and world-renowned flutist Jim Walker for Whimsical Walton and Walker. On April 15, see Walker’s music come to life on stage with the Owensboro Symphony. Walker has done musical collaborations with Paul McCartney, Leonard Bernstein and John Williams, and this concert will feature selections from Mozart, Henry Mancini and William Walton’s The Wise Virgins Suite.
