Drag Racing
The dB Drag Racing Association’s 25th Anniversary World Finals event will take place October 1 and 2 at the Owensboro Convention Center. Elite car-stereo competitors from across the country will participate in dB Drag Racing, Bass Race, Psychlone, Top Dog and Freestyle competition formats. Pumpkin & Pickle Festival
One of the greatest combos you never knew existed until now, the Cottage Farm Stand’s Pumpkin & Pickle Festival will bring you a variety of pickle-flavored foods as well as tons of gorgeous pumpkins to shop from. You can even score a pickle-flavored craft beer from Brew Bridge! Held for two days on October 1 and 2, you can shop from tons of amazing vendors, meander through a corn maze and spend a day with the animals at the petting zoo. Bring $5 for parking and enjoy the festivities from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. both days.
Halloweekends at Holiday World
Just because summer is over doesn’t mean the fun stops at Holiday World! This family-friendly special event includes all the rides you love at the amusement park, plus lots of Halloween-themed shows and fun. Experience a funhouse for all ages at SCAREbnb, Holidog’s 3D Halloween Adventure in the Holiday Theater, 12 acres of corn mazes and hayrides, Carnival Chaos and even trick-or-treating for children 12 years and younger.
