Friday After 5 is kickin’ off its summer concert series this weekend with TONS of amazing music, entertainment and food for the whole family to enjoy. This weekend’s theme is “City Night,” and all proceeds from the FA5 5K will go toward Brescia University’s Track & Field department. You can find live music at multiple venues across the downtown riverfront, including The Beatles Rock Band Show from 6-9:30 p.m., Disc Daddy’s from 4:30-7:30 p.m., Lillie May & Rische Family Circus from 7-10 p.m., Platinum 78 from 7-9 p.m. and Usual Suspects from 8:30-11:30 p.m. Score tons of treats from our amazing food trucks and enjoy a delicious drink from participating downtown restaurants and bars during the Cocktail/Mocktail Crawl. Friday After 5 runs from 5-midnight beginning May 20. 

Owensboro Symphony      

The Owensboro Symphony is pulling all the stops this Saturday with five-time Grammy nominated pianist and vocalist Michael Feinstein joining them as the featured artist. “One Fein Night” will hit the RiverPark Center stage on May 21 at 7 p.m., bringing you a night of music from some of the greatest Broadway and Hollywood classics to date. Feinstein himself performs over 200 shows a year, with performances at Carnegie Hall, Sydney Opera House, the Hollywood Bowl, the White House and Buckingham Palace. Need we say more?! You can score tickets for this show at $42.50 apiece. 

The Nashville Songwriter    

Enjoy a night of music and stories under the stars as the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame holds the Nashville Songwriter series on its outdoor stage on May 19. This series highlights the stories and lives of three artists working to create the soundtrack of America, featuring Nashville-based songwriters that offer the backstory on their work by sharing personal experiences that shaped their songs. You can hear from Derik Hultquist, Nick Donley and Jaida Dreyer this week, with the show kicking off at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10, and guests should bring their own chairs for this outdoor concert.
