KY 2A Championships
You can catch some of the best high school athletes in Kentucky compete for a weekend of tournament play at the Kentucky 2A State Championships for both baseball and softball. Held at two different locations and featuring 16 teams from across the state, you can watch these athletes compete for the crown at Owensboro’s world-class sports complexes. Both tournaments will be held April 22-23 this year. The Girls’ Softball Championships will take place at Jack C. Fisher Park and the Boys’ Baseball Championships will be held at Jack Hicks Field.
Darin & Brooke Aldridge Concert
This husband-wife Bluegrass duo just released a new album that’s garnered critical acclaim, and together, Darin and Brooke Aldridge have won multiple music awards across multiple platforms. Natives of North Carolina, Darin earned the 2017 IBMA Mentor of the Year award, while Brooke won the IBMA Female Vocalist of the Year award FOUR CONSECUTIVE TIMES from 2017-2020. Their new album, “This Life We’re Livin’,” was #1 on the Billboard charts, proving that the duo’s music is only getting better over time. You can see them perform live on April 23 at the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and Museum, and tickets are $32 apiece.
Spring Market at White Chateau
After a long winter that’s kept us all inside for months, t’s time to get out of the house and be reminded of how beautiful the outdoors can be! The Spring Market at White Chateau will be held on April 23 and 24, with warm temps and sunny skies expected for the two-day event. You can peruse the shops from over 70 vendors, eat delicious treats from an array of food trucks, and enjoy live music as you explore one of the prettiest farm and wedding venues in Kentucky. Shop for clothing, food, plants, flowers, locally grown farm products and more. And for those planning an upcoming wedding, there will be plenty of wedding vendors available to chat with as well. Parking is $5 per vehicle and the event runs 10 a.m.-4 p.m. both days.
