Downtown Cruise-In  

Get excited because it’s officially car show season in the Boro again! It’s time to plan your schedules accordingly because downtown Owensboro will soon be hosting the first Downtown Cruise-In of the year. Held by Sunset Cruisers on April 2, this car show will feature trucks from 3-7 p.m. You’ll have the chance to see some of the coolest classic, vintage and tricked-out trucks ever made along with live music, tons of giveaways and great restaurants and bars in the area to keep the party going afterward. This event is free to the public! Once you’ve parked, head to the corner of 3rd and Daviess streets for entry. 

Showdown in the Bluegrass   

This youth volleyball tournament will bring in hundreds of players from dozens of travel volleyball teams from all over for two days of competitive tournament play. Held at the Owensboro Convention Center on April 2-3, you can head downtown to see one of the very first volleyball tournaments to be held using the Convention Center’s brand new sports floor! The tournament is hosted by by the Audubon Volleyball Association, and each team is guaranteed five games, with pool play on Saturday and bracket play on Sunday.
