Hops on the Ohio bringing good beer, music and food to the riverfront this summer

Hops on the Ohio is one of Owensboro’s biggest beer festivals of the year, bringing you all the craft beer, wine and spirits you could ask for at this all-day event. This year’s event will be held at RiverPark Center on Saturday, July 9 from 3-7 p.m.

Local and regional breweries will supply tons of craft beer while live music and food trucks will supply the good sounds and food.

Honestly, this beer festival is one of the best experiences you’ll have in Owensboro, standing outside on the beautiful patio, drink in hand, overlooking the Ohio River. Everything about Hops on the Ohio is executed well, from the venue, to the beer selection, to the music.

The festival has been a huge success in past years, bringing more than 600 people downtown in 2019. Hops on the Ohio serves as a fundraiser for RPC, with tickets covering the costs of the venue’s array of free educational programs for children.

The 2022 festival will include local breweries and distilleries such as Brew Bridge, Goodwood and Green River Distilling Company. But there will be tons of other breweries and wineries from the regional area offering tastes and pours, so you can sample all kinds of drinks while you’re there!

Hops on the Ohio co-founder Cody Anderson said his team is very excited to be back in Owensboro for the festival’s third edition.

“Expect an afternoon full of brews, tunes and food trucks,” Anderson said. “You can also expect a handful of other events before and after at surrounding bars and restaurants.”

Tickets for Hops on the Ohio are $48 for general admission, and you can order them online right here!
