As a part of the City of Owensboro’s 12 Days of Christmas events, Visit Owensboro is launching Santa’s List. The list which is a 4×6 card has all of the events which are a part of the 12 Days of Christmas. Not only does it serve as a list of the events, you also can take the card and get it stamped when you attend an event on one of the 12 Days of Christmas.
“Everyone loves a good scavenger hunt and we wanted a way to help track how many people are participating in the 12 Days of Christmas and what events are the most popular. We thought a fun Santa’s list would be the perfect way to gather that information,” said Dave Kirk, Visit Owensboro Destination Management.
The lists can be picked up at four locations. The Owensboro Daviess County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Owensboro Convention Center, the Holiday Inn Owensboro Riverfront and the Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown Waterfront. The two hotel locations offer 24/7 pickup. There are two versions of Santa’s list. One for locals where you must attend an event six out of 12 Days of Christmas and one for visitors where you must attend one out of 12 days and stay in a downtown hotel.
“Each of the participating locations in the 12 Days of Christmas have been given stamps so just tell them you want your list stamped when you attend the event. Of course there are multiple options for getting your stamp for Energy on Ice as it’s open multiple times during the 12 Days of Christmas,” added Kirk.
Once you’ve completed Santa’s List, you must write your name and phone number on the back of the list and drop it off at either the Owensboro Daviess County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Owensboro Convention Center, the Holiday Inn Owensboro Riverfront or the Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown Waterfront. Completed lists will be entered in a drawing for a gift basket featuring an array of Owensboro items.
“The Christmas season will be coming to life in downtown Owensboro with a wide range of activities for all ages as part of our 12 Days of Christmas. We are excited to be highlighting so many different types of activities for both locals and visitors to enjoy this holiday,” said Tim Ross, City of Owensboro Public Events Director.
