The Guess Who

This famous Canadian rock band has made a huge impact across all of North America, charting fourteen Top 40 hits in the U.S. and more than 30 in Canada. Singles such as “American Woman,” These Eyes” and “No Time” have become timeless classics enjoyed by those both young and old. Featuring a mix of blues and psychedelic rock, The Guess Who is a band that truly delivers for their fans. As explained by one of their founding members, drummer/songwriter Garry Peterson, “We’re coming at a new generation of fans who are seeing how the band can execute with enthusiasm. And we’re also making sure the respect level remains at an all-time high for how the music was initially recorded and remains at an all-time high for the fans who have been with the band from the beginning.” The Guess Who will rock the RiverPark Center stage Friday, November 5 at 7 p.m.

Dinosaur Adventure

Dinosaur Adventure will transform the Owensboro Convention Center into a prehistoric exhibit with big dinosaurs and massive family fun. For two days only, November 6th and 7th, guests will have the rare opportunity to travel back 65 million years to experience the thrill of the prehistoric age. While giant dinosaurs are the “meat and bone” of the event, Dinosaur Adventure also features live entertainment for the whole family to enjoy! Children’s activities will include a variety of “dino-mite” activities. Experience the thrill of a realistic fossil search, mold your own fossils, race in Jurassic jeeps, bounce around in a prehistoric-themed bounce house and more! Tickets are limited and sold on a per day, per hour basis. According to the OCC, sellouts are expected. To guarantee admission, purchase your tickets online in advance. Prices start at $25 with add-on adventure pack options for children. Each child’s admission will also include three free activity tickets. Additional activity tickets may be purchased at the event.

Holiday Market 

The Owensboro Regional Farmers’ Market is bringing The Holiday Market to Owensboro this weekend, and it’s already expected to bring huge turnout. Not only will the Holiday Market include the farmers and vendors the entire community has grown to know and love, but a large variety of local artists, crafters and artisans will be selling tons of amazing products that range from paintings, to jewelry, to holiday and home décor, to flower bouquets. This event offers free parking and admission, and it’s a great way to get your Halloween weekend started off right! The Holiday Market runs on Saturday, November 6 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
