However, the event–which focuses on supporting local businesses–will run through December 4 for a full week! The Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce has pulled all the stops to make the event fun and festive. On Saturday at 9 a.m., head to the Owensboro Convention Center to pick up your FREE shopping bag full of goodies that include a map of all participating stores, Shop Owensboro BINGO cards and coupons and special offers. These offers are valid the entire week. Bags are limited to 500, so get ready early that day to ensure you get one! 

My Bluegrass Heart 

My Bluegrass Heart is a can’t miss concert featuring the best musicians Bluegrass music has to offer, including Bela Fleck, one of the best banjo players in the world. Joining Fleck for two concerts different performances of My Bluegrass Heart on November 26 will be Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Stuart Duncan, Edgar Meyer and Bryan Sutton. Fleck, who has won 15 Grammys across a number of musical genres, is returning to his Bluegrass roots for these shows, so you won’t want to miss this historic moment in his long-running musical career. The first show will kick off at 5 p.m. and the second one at 8 p.m. at the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Get your tickets now before they sell out! 

Energy on Ice 

Get ready to lace up those skates because Energy on Ice is making its winter debut this weekend! This portable ice rink will be installed on the Kentucky Legend Pier behind the Owensboro Convention Center the entire weekend, starting on Friday, November 26 from 6-10 p.m. This outdoor skating experience includes festive holiday lighting, music, food and drink concessions, skate rentals and outdoor seating for spectators. Admission is $10 including skate rental or $8 if you bring your own skates. All tickets must be purchased at the venue. Energy on Ice will be a recurring event on weekends through December 17, after which it will be open daily (except for December 24 and 25) until January 3. Hours of operation will be Sunday-Thursday from 2-7 p.m., Fridays from 6-10 p.m. and Saturdays from 1-9 p.m.
