Best ways to celebrate Halloween this year

Owensboro does not mess around when it comes to Halloween. There are a ton of events going on across the city this year, and we’ve got all the details.

For a lot of people, Fall is the best time of year, and there’s no better place for you to celebrate Halloween 2021 than in Owensboro!

Mile Wide Brewing Co. is getting into the Halloween spirit with a “true horror-style Halloween party” that will send shivers down your spine. The brewery is teaming up with Ghostly Productions to hold this event on Saturday, October 30 from 7 p.m.-midnight.

A costume contest will feature prizes such as Best Overall Costume and Best Group Costumes, and the team at Mile Wide will be pouring a variety of beers and drinks to help take the edge off the spookiness that comes with a fantastic Halloween party.

The Owensboro Convention Center is bringing back its annual Cork & Cuisine event with a Halloween twist this year. On Saturday, October 30, find yourself treated to a “hauntingly delicious” five-course dinner paired with a variety of wine and spirits.

Instead of donning your best dress, come to this event in your Halloween costume for the costume contest. You can also enjoy some Halloween Bingo at your table for the chance to win some cool prizes.

The event runs from 6-10 p.m. and tickets include all wine and spirits!

For those wanting to spend Halloween in the great outdoors, Trunnell’s Farm Market has you covered. The venue is holding its HalloWine Bash & Brew on Friday, October 29 from 5:30-10:30 p.m.

This party is for adults only, but that doesn’t mean you can’t wear your Halloween costume, because you absolutely can (and should!) Trunnell’s is encouraging guests to don their favorite costumes for a “trick-or-tasting” adventure on the farm. Guests can enjoy a variety of tastes at stations set up all around the venue. A number of costume contests will take place too!

While you’re there, take a wagon ride to the pumpkin patch and enjoy some delicious food! Trunnell’s will also provide live entertainment throughout the night.

Tickets include eight free tastings and a souvenir beer glass.
