My Bluegrass Heart: A can’t miss concert in Owensboro

If you don’t know Béla Fleck’s music, you absolutely should, and this Owensboro event is the perfect time to get to know this multi award-winning musician. “My Bluegrass Heart” will take place at the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum on November 26 with not one, but two shows featuring some of the best artists in the Bluegrass music world.

First, let’s take a quick dive into Fleck’s absurdly long list of musical achievements. Over the last four decades, the banjo player has made his mark across multiple genres of music, earning 15 Grammys in nine different fields. These genres include Country, Pop, Jazz, Instrumental, Classical and World music.

That level of versatility is certainly something to write home about.

But Bluegrass music is where Fleck grew his roots. And that’s why this concert is such a big deal. For the first time in 24 years, Fleck is returning to those roots with My Bluegrass Heart.

For these performances, Fleck will be joined by some of the best musicians Bluegrass has to offer, including Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Stuart Duncan, Edgar Meyer and Bryan Sutton.

Located on the riverfront with neighboring new hotels, the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum is THE destination for all bluegrass fans. Owensboro is the Bluegrass Music Capital of the World, and its shows and venues like these that we fully enjoy bragging about around here.

If you’re in the market for a full weekend of fun, Owensboro is the place to be, and this concert is your first stop.

VIP tickets for My Bluegrass Heart are $68, and reserved seating is $58. Doors open at 4:00 pm for the 5:00 show and 7:00 pm for the 8:00 show. Bar and concessions will be available onsite.
