The Ultimate Queen Celebration Starring Marc Martel

The man himself who provides much of Freddie Mercury’s voice in the Bohemian Rhapsody is taking his show to Owensboro on September 29 at 7 p.m. at the Owensboro RiverPark Center.  MARC MARTEL has forged a unique and diverse career for himself. He started his own Queen tribute show called The Ultimate Queen Celebration, which tours all over the world. Marc not only lends his voice to rock and roll crowds but also recently to symphony halls as he fronts Symphonic Queen with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Mexico (OFUNAM) in Mexico City.  Rock with us by clicking here

Bluegrass, Bourbon and Blooms

Enjoy what Owensboro has become a household name for: Bluegrass music, Green River Distilling Company Bourbon and incredible flowers at the Western Kentucky Botanical Garden on September 30 from 6-9 p.m.  Bluegrass cover band Bourbon Revival will play several cover songs in a bluegrass style so you can sing along.  Authentic bourbon tastings come with your $15 ticket and there will also be food trucks and a cash bar.  Kids 12 and under are free.  You can pay at the door or grab yours online.

Symphony Stroll In Smothers Park

On October 1, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., all are invited to stroll along the beautiful riverfront and enjoy the sounds of the Owensboro Symphony. The Symphony Stroll is free to the community.  Ensembles  will be placed throughout Smothers Park, beginning with Troy Quinn and the Symphony Chamber Orchestra at the Overlook Stage and reaching all the way to BB&T Plaza where a jazz trio will perform. “There is no right or wrong way to enjoy this event,” said Troy Quinn, the Symphony’s Music Director, “ensembles will play throughout the evening and you can start at any stop and linger where you choose.”
