Local Artisans Fair at The Cottage  

The Cottage Farm Stand & Baking Co will host their second annual Local Artisan Festival on Saturday, September 11 from 9 AM to 2 PM. Over 20 local artists will be featured at this festival. Vendors will be selling handmade items such as home decor, jewelry, paintings, wreaths and apparel. The artist booths will be located outside in the front yard.

Several fall themed hay bale and corn stalk sculptures are available for photo opportunities. These sculptures were created by employees of The Cottage and feature pumpkins, spiders, sunflowers and many other fall-related items. The Cottage Farm Stand & Baking Co offers a wide array of homemade sweet and savory muffins (some packaged in their signature egg cartons), cookies, soups, canned goods, breakfast and lunch. They feature a full service coffee bar as well.

Always Remember ATA Taekwondo Regional Tournament

After being postponed for an entire year, the American Taekwondo Association’s regional tournament is back! Held Saturday, September 11 at the Owensboro Convention Center, doors open for Saturday’s Region 106 Class B tournament at 7:30 a.m. Attendees can see the region’s best compete across a number of age groups and experience levels. Special guest Grandmaster MK Lee will be present at the event. Competitions will run all day from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. Spectator fees cost $10 and children under 10 can attend for free. 

Dinner in the Blooms Sunflower Experience

Boasting “the most beautiful sunflower field in Kentucky and the Ohio Valley,” Trunnell’s Farm Market is pulling all the stops this year with its fourth annual Dinner in the Blooms Sunflower Experience. Running from 5-10 p.m. this Saturday, you can kick off your autumn season the right way with a gorgeous farm-t0-table dinner amongst the sunflowers. And this year’s event is better than ever. Trunnell’s has planted more than 65 varieties of sunflowers in every color imaginable for you to enjoy! Take a vintage, tractor-pulled wagon ride to the entrance of the sunflower trails, where you can explore thousands of blooms up close before treating yourself to a drink from the farm bar. This one-of-a-kind dinner experience will include a delicious meal served at a long farm-style table in the middle of the sunflower field.
