Frontman for Queen cover band played large role in Bohemian Rhapsody

For those who love the band Queen, the RiverPark Center has pulled all the stops to give you the closest thing to the late Freddie Mercury himself. The ULTIMATE QUEEN CELEBRATION Starring Marc Martel will be held at RPC September 29 from 7-9 p.m.

This Queen cover band, created by Martel, tours all over the world. And Martel himself is a one-of-a-kind performer.

Martel played a huge role in the Oscar-nominated film Bohemian Rhapsody, where his voice was used alongside Mercury’s to create a blended version of the two for the movie.

According to officials with RPC, “Marc not only lends his voice to rock and roll crowds, but also recently to symphony halls as he fronts Symphonic Queen with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Mexico in Mexico City.”

Martel went on to say that he grew up “believing the lie” that he could only have one sound as a singer.

“But after I put that false belief aside, I realized I can have as many sides as I want,” he said.

And because of that, Martel is now living his best life as a professional musician.

“I am involved with so many different things it’s impossible to get bored,” he said. “Between anything Queen-related, my own recordings and these fun, little side projects, I’m more diverse and happier as an artist than I’ve ever been.”

For fans of Queen, this show will go down as one of the coolest experiences of their lifetimes. But even if you’re not familiar with the famous rock and roll group, this show is guaranteed to rock you.

Tickets for THE ULTIMATE QUEEN CELEBRATION are still available, but going quickly!
