Owensboro Air Show
Turn your heads to the skies Friday, August 13 through Sunday, August 15 for the epic Owensboro Air Show! The weekend is always a hit, but this year is bigger and better than ever. On Friday, get a taste of what’s to come at the Owensboro regional airport from 4 p.m. to 8 :30 p.m. as you take an up close and personal look at the aircrafts, meet the pilots, and enjoy a nighttime air show spectacular. As the sun sets, performers take to the sky and perform before the night ends with a firework display. Friday’s show is just $5 to attend. On Saturday and Sunday, grab your blankets and camping chairs to attend the high-flying shows as these aircrafts soar over the Ohio River. In addition to everyone’s favorite US Navy Blue Angels, vintage warbirds, aerobatic demonstrations, and military jets, including the USAF Viper Demo Team, will be performing. Both Saturday and Sunday shows are from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and are free to all.
Downtown ROMP: Air Show After Party
Saturday’s fun is nowhere near done after the last Owensboro Air Show performance. From 12 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. enjoy top-notch lawn seating for the air show, craft beers and a full bar, food trucks including Fresh by Gene’s, and fantastic live music. What better way to enjoy the show than with a prime view, great food and friends, and live music? The Air Show After Party features live performances from Wolfpen Branch, Fireside Collective, Airshow, and Barefoot Movement beginning at approximately 4 p.m. Tickets to this event are $20. Van Halen 2 at the RiverPark Center
This is your “Fair Warning” that Van Halen 2 is coming to Owensboro to rock the stage of the RiverPark Center on Saturday, August 14 at 7 p.m. Van Halen 2 will perform the unmistakable hits and epic guitar solos of the rock band Van Halen during the 70s and 80s. Van Halen 2 is known for their wild and energetic live shows, uncanny guitar solos, and stage presence sure to satisfy any rock n roll fan.
