The River Valley Cluster Dog Shows, sponsored by Owensboro River City Kennel CLub and Southern Indiana Kennel Club, returns to Owensboro during the third week of August at the Owensboro Convention Center. Watch hundreds of dogs across all breeds compete in various events Thursday, August 26 to Sunday, August 29. The previous shows saw over 3,000 dogs in 126 breeds from across the U.S. Judges come from as far as New York, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
At the shows, enjoy events including all breed, rally/obedience, AKC owner handler, and B match. Watching the shows is only half the fun as spectators can walk around and watch the dogs get primped and prepped before heading into the ring. Plus, there will be vendors throughout the convention center where you can pamper your own pup with toys, grooming supplies, food and beds, and other doggy supplies. You might not be able to bring your dog to the show, but you can certainly bring them a souvenir! With over 500 feet of booth space, any dog lover is sure to find something for their furry friend.
The show is for anyone and everyone, and it’s the perfect way to spend a fun weekend with your family! Tickets for adults are $5 and free for children 12 and under. Spectators can find the judging program here.
