Experience Southern charm at its best at Porchfest! On June 12, Griffith Avenue will be transformed into the grounds for a music festival at this trendy, one-of-a-kind event. The first performances will start between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m., while the evening performances will begin between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m., depending on the location.
Residents on Griffith Avenue will convert their beautiful, spacious porches into “stages” for the afternoon. Their inviting front yards will be open for music listeners to bring their own chairs and sit and enjoy the show. The audience can also stroll freely from stage to stage, enjoying the music without worrying about a ticket or a seat.
This year, Porchfest will feature 11 stages and more than 30 musicians and bands performing along Griffith Ave. from Frederica St. to Robin Rd. The final lineup includes some very familiar faces and local favorites including Josh Merritt, the Andy Brasher Band, and Dustin Taylor on the Rocks. Click here to see the full lineup.
In addition to all of the amazing music, several vendors and food trucks will be stationed on Griffith Ave. including J’s Good Grub, Kona Ice of Owensboro, Tri-R-Tips, Slick Back BBQ, and Taqueria. Bring your walking shoes and lawn chairs, and get ready for great food, music, and friends!
