Friday After 5 Returns

Long Friday nights filled with friends, family and fun are back! Friday After 5 will return on May 21 for an exciting opening night. The first weekend of Friday After 5 is “Owensboro Night.”

This special kick-off night has a stacked performance schedule; each stage will feature something different whether it’s rock & roll, country, folk and bluegrass, or even reggae and electronic dance music. Our headliner is the Baha Men, a Bahamian roots reggae band best known for their Grammy Award winning song “Who Let the Dogs Out”. Other hits like “Move It Like This” and “Best Years of Our Lives” have topped charts, securing this band as one of the most high-energy, exciting reggae groups of the 2000s! No matter your age you’re sure to be groovin’ to the beat.

Other artists performing include Aaron Goodvin on the Patio Stage, The Gaslight Boys at the Atmos Coutrtyard, The Underdogs on the Roman Subaru Overlook, and Hayley Payne on the Holiday Inn Riverfront Stage. DJ Shay, a FA5 fan-favorite, will be featured at the After Party following the Baha Men. Click here to find the full schedule and map.

Friday After 5 is an eagerly anticipated annual 16-week summer-long festival providing live music, family events, food trucks, and entertainment. Friday After 5 is where the community comes together every summer. This year, FA5 has worked hard with community members and local businesses to plan their 25th Anniversary season.

One of the changes Friday After 5 made includes the “Mile of Music.” The festival has included the Holiday Inn Riverfront in the official venue lineup for 2021. Now, live music and community events can be enjoyed for an entire mile, from one end of the riverfront to the other.

And if you’re holiday plans were thrown off by Covid-19 last year, don’t fret. Friday After 5 is planning “Christmas in July” so that you and your family may once again enjoy the magic of Christmas properly— just a little warmer!
