Top Two Things To Do In Owensboro This Weekend: October 9-11

Live On The Banks

Saturday night is music night in downtown Owensboro.  Live On The Banks is a free music series brought to you by the City of Owensboro.  Rack’em Leon will be performing at the Overlook stage.  Emma Brown will hold it down at the Allen Street Gazebo.  Both shows start at 7 p.m. and run until 9 p.m.

Symphony Strings at Sunset

Head on down to Hampton Inn and Suites Downtown Owensboro/Waterfront to catch some free music performed by the Owensboro Symphony on Friday, October 9 at 6 p.m.  It’s no ordinary season for the symphony thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, so they are taking the show outside. There will be a cello choir and a string quartet performing 45-minute sets.   Catch the show while having dinner at Lure Seafood and Grille, bring a blanket or chair to watch from the lawn behind the hotel or set up shop at McConnell Plaza.  Please stay six feet from other attendees and wear a mask when not eating or drinking.
