Top Two Things To Do In Owensboro: October 16-18

Oktoberfest At The Tent

Get your Oktoberfest on at The Tent which sits across from Smothers Park on Veterans Boulevard on October 17 starting at 11 a.m.  An Oompa band will get you in the German spirit starting at 4 p.m.  Shawn Brashear will take the stage from 7-11.  Enjoy all varieties of beer, grab a brat or order from an authentic menu that will feature German specialties.  There will also be a contest for a bratwurst toss similar to a water balloon toss.  If German food isn’t your thing, no worries, you can also order off the menu from Lure, The Bistro, Mellow Mushroom and Bar Louie and have food from those dining establishments delivered right to your seat at the tent.

Boo Fest

Looking to get into the Halloween Spirit?  Check out Boo Fest at Diamond Lake Resort. Enter the costume parade, golf cart or whatever you’re driving and campsite decorating contests, as well as trick-or-treating at the campsites (masks and gloves will be required if you are passing out candy).  The event is Saturday, October 17 and kicks off around 11 a.m.
