Top Two Things To Do In Owensboro This Weekend: September 4-6

What a weird world we’re living in.  But sometimes weirdness brings greatness.  Speaking of greatness, it’s Derby Week in Kentucky.  Normally the fastest two minutes in sports is the first weekend in May.  But, thanks to COVID-19, it’s the first weekend in September this year.  Here are two incredible ways to celebrate Kentucky’s greatest day in sports:

The Derby Party at The Brew Bridge

Head on down to Owensboro’s favorite craft brewery to celebrate the Kentucky Derby starting at 11 a.m.  The Brew Bridge will of course have derby favorite mint juleps and bloody Marys.  But that is just the start.  There will also be fun prizes, hat contests, and of course the race on the big screen.

Kentucky Proud Kentucky Derby Dinner

Celebrate the derby with one of the most important parts of the day- the FOOD.  Lure Seafood and Grille has you covered for a 4 course KY Derby themed meal for just $40!  Starting at 4:30 p.m., kick off the meal with deviled egg trio then move to cheese baked grits with KY Legend ham, of course a hot brown featuring local tomatoes and smoked turkey from Old Hickory.  Finish up with Derby pie with bourbon ice cream! YUM!  Lure will also have drink specials featuring $5 mint juleps and $5 lilies.  Reservations are required and are limited.  Call (270) 240-4556 to book now!
