Multicultural Festival Goes Virtual

The 22ndAnnual Owensboro Multicultural Festival is Saturday, August 15 starting at 10 a.m.. The theme this year is “We’re In This Together.”  In the interest of safety, the event will be held virtually and will be streamed on the group’s Facebook page, @owensboromulticulturalfestival.  Virtual attendees will be able to watch streaming video and look at social media posts where food, music, and art of all cultures will be shared.  There will be multicultural craft project lessons, a virtual choir, recipes featuring food from all around the world and some online cultural exhibits.  Organizers say the festival was established to start conversations that will lead to healing in our community.
