Operation Staycation, a new program developed by Visit Owensboro, will launch in September, giving everyone who books a hotel room that month a variety of discounts at a handful of local places.
The program will allow those in Owensboro who are weary of traveling afar but going stir crazy inside their homes the chance to get out and experience the city in a safe, but fun way.

Tired of the same routine over and over again,” said Dave Kirk, destination management director for Visit Owensboro. “Get out of your house and into an incredible staycation either with or without the kids. It’s your call.”
