Kick-off the holiday season on Saturday, December 7 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Holiday Stroll!  The event includes Christmas caroling, an “Elf on the Shelf” scavenger hunt with a special prize, and the Christmas tree lighting in Smothers Park at 5 p.m.  Downtown Owensboro hosts the annual celebration, so you are only steps away from delicious dining and plenty of stores to complete your Christmas shopping list.  The Holiday Stroll is a great way to bring fun Christmas spirit to the entire family and welcome in the new season!

 

ODT’s The Nutcracker

Don’t miss Owensboro Dance Theatre’s “The Nutcracker”, a beloved holiday tradition in Owensboro!  On Saturday, December 7 at 7 p.m., celebrate the joy of Christmas through music and dance at the RiverPark Center! ODT is still bringing new tricks and technology to the stage, giving the audience a surreal and exciting experience year after year.  Experience all the magic and wonder of The Nutcracker complete with a flying bed, levitating Arabian dancer, and more special flying effects. Holiday Market

It’s a jolly good time to holiday shop!  The Holiday Market will be held at the Owensboro Convention Center on Saturday, December 7 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, December 8 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Shop from more than 150 booths with over 1000 items.  Santa will be visiting each day and taking his picture with the girls and boys.  On Saturday, the first 100 attendees will receive FREE grab bags!  On Sunday, the first 100 kiddos will receive either a Santa Hat or Santa Stocking.  Find the perfect gift for family and friends this holiday season at Owensboro’s Holiday Market!
