Owensboro is determined to live up to its 2004 Sports Illustrated title as “Kentucky’s Sportstown USA” and Visit Owensboro’s efforts are kicking into full gear in the new year! 2020 brings several new premier tournaments and events across a broad spectrum of sports. Owensboro is set to hold several 2A high school state tournaments that include the state boys and girls basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball and soccer tournaments. Owensboro’s name is becoming more and more visible and our community is living up to its title as Kentucky’s #1 sportstown!
