Turf at Fisher Park ‘game-changer,’ Bratcher says Small changes, big impact. Owensboro is revamping Jack C. Fisher park in a major way. The city is working to replace the dirt and grass infields at Fisher Park with turf. That means that the games and tournaments Fisher Park lost last year due to rain will no longer be a problem. Fisher park lost 50% of the baseball and softball tournaments last year, but with turf which dries quickly after rain, their tournaments are expected to double.
