Enjoy a night full of warmth and mystery with the North Carolina duo, Mandolin Orange. Tri-State Pickle Festival
The Owensboro Pickleball Association will hold the inaugural Tri-State Pickle Festival on Saturday, September 28 at Yellow Creek Park. Pickle Fest features a variety of attractions for the family with a free concert in the evening featuring winner of season 11 of “The Voice”, Sundance Head, as well as special guests Troy Miller, Alonzo Pennington and WildSky. Other activities include the Pickle 5K in the morning, a competition for the largest grown pickle or cucumber, as well as a pickle juice chug. Bounce houses, food trucks, craft vendors and carnival rides will be set up throughout the festival site. Don’t miss out– its going to be dill-lightful!
Bronze Buffalo Festival & Gala
The 11th Annual Buffalo Paintout and Gala will be presented Sept. 26-28 at the Owensboro Museum of Fine Art. This three-day event will be highlighted by an exhibition and gala on Saturday, September 28, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The Gala will feature live and silent auctions, frontier cuisine, spirits and special live entertainment. The Gala’s live auction will feature spectacular jewelry, including a white gold diamond and aquamarine bracelet and two vintage sets of raw diamond necklaces and earnings from the mid-20th century! Seven artists have been named “Bronze Buffalo Artists” and invited to donate a work of art to be auctioned as a benefit for the museum. $5000 in Merit and Purchase Awards will be presented for winning entries at the end of Saturday night. Admission is $50 per person and Friends of the OMFA Foundation receive a discounted price of $40 per person.
