4th of July
The City of Owensboro hosts the event along Owensboro’s riverfront to celebrate the All-American Fourth of July on Thursday, July 4. The annual celebration will include food vendors along Veterans Blvd. and live music at McConnell Plaza throughout the evening. Beginning at 6 p.m., head to the Owensboro Convention Center for fun and food, including concessions, a Bouncer Maze, Duck Pond, rockwall, and Extreme Chaos Obstacle Course among others. Finishing the night with a bang, the City will put on the largest fireworks display above the Ohio River with some of your favorite patriotic music at 9:15 p.m. Grab your lawn chairs and blankets and arrive early to enjoy an evening full of entertainment for the entire family.
Music lovers are invited to the Riverfront Stage at the Holiday Inn Owensboro & Burger Theory’s patio every Friday night beginning May 17 through August 30, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. for this FREE event open to the public.
