To Moon and Beyond!

To The Moon and Beyond! Is a NASA sponsored space event commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Lunar Landing on the Moon, July 2, 1969.  The event will be held at the Owensboro Museum of Science and History on Saturday, July 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  and features tons of out-of-this-world activities for all ages!  Special activities include eleven NASA – NISE hands-on space activity stations, a bouncy house, face painting, moon rock painting, space characters, photo stations, and a moon food lunch for purchase.  Admission is $3 for OMSH Members, $5 for non-members, and free for children 2 years & under.

 

Mama Mia! Presented by Encore Musicals

Dust Bowl

The Dust Bowl is a 9-day outdoor basketball tournament taking place at Kendell Perkins Park from July 19 through July 27.  The event features 14 divisions of boys and girls, 3rd and 4th grades and under, through men’s and women’s (for all ages).  There is a $200.00 entry fee and double elimination all divisions.   This exciting annual event also includes music, gospel night, kids’ day, community service recognition, exhibitors, vendors, and concessions. This event is FREE and open to the public.
