Daviess County Lions Club County Fair

The Annual Daviess County Lions Club Fair will take place July 10-13 at the Lions Club Fairgrounds on highway 54 in Philpot, Ky.  This year’s event features all the classic fair fun including inflatables, pony rides, laser tag, bazaar show, petting zoo, first bite fishing, and food vendors every day!  In addition to the daily attractions, each day presents a new exhibit, show, or activity!  Click here for a complete schedule of events.  Admission for Wednesday and Thursday is $10/adult, $8/child, and free for children under 3. Friday & Saturday is $12/adult, $10/children, and free for children under 3.  Have fun with the whole family!

 

USSSA Baseball Santa Championship

The USSSA Baseball Santa Championship, hosted by 3Up 3Down Events, is being played at Jack C. Fisher and Panther Creek Park on Saturday and Sunday, July 13 and 14.  The championship hosts fifty-eight USSSA baseball teams from four surrounding states ranging from 8U to 12U.  It is also unique because it features the added bonus of Holiday World Theme Park Tickets available at a greatly discounted price to each player and family member.  This event will be bringing in excess of two thousand people into the Owensboro area and is the perfect ending to a great USSSA season!  Come on out and cheer the players on.

 

The Earls of Leicester in Concert

Enjoy a live performance from the Grammy Award winning bluegrass group, The Earls of Leicester, at the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and Museum on Friday, July 12 at 7 p.m.  The group formed in 2013 with a mission was to preserve and promote the legacy of bluegrass legends Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs and has since been topping the charts.  Tickets are $35 per person.  Don’t miss your chance to see this dynamic and joyful performance live!  Doors open at 5 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m., so take advantage of your bundle admission and explore the museum!  Bar and concessions will be available.
