The largest video game expo of any anime event is returning again to storm the Owensboro Convention Center on June 7-9.  This annual three-day event brings together anime, video games, tabletop, and general fandom for a weekend of fun and excitement.  There will be special guests such as voice actors and artists, dealers for getting those hard-to-get merchandise, and special events like cosplay and video game tournaments!  All Owensboro hotels will sell out for this event, so book now.  Click here for detailed schedules and more info.

 

Porchfest 2019

A celebration of community, great music, and southern hospitality–what more can you ask for?  Saturday, June 8 from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., the Griffith Avenue area between Frederica Street and Robin Road will be transformed into the grounds for a one-day music festival!  This year’s event has nearly doubled in size, complete with 15 “stages”, 45 artists, and 10 food truck vendors!  A few of the artists highlighted in this year’s lineup include Josh Merritt, Nick Lawson, Rubbing Alcoholics, The Shine, Elliott Subblett, and Gaslight Boys.  Residents on Griffith Avenue act as “Porch Hosts”, converting their beautiful, spacious porches into “stages” for the afternoon.  Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs and sit and enjoy the show or stroll freely from “stage” to “stage” without the hassle of a seat or ticket.  Read about everything Porchfest has to offer here!

 

Kansas “Legendary Rock Band” in Concert
