Memorial Day Celebration and Golf Cart Rodeo

Owensboro’s Diamond Lake Resort hosts it’s popular Memorial Day Celebration and the all-time favorite “Golf Cart Rodeo” on Saturday, May 25!  Start the day off with a touching flag raising ceremony in front of the Pit Shop Grill.  Are you good at driving blindfolded?  Test your driving skills at our Golf Cart Rodeo! Friday After 5

The 23rd season of the areas favorite free summer series, “Shake, Rattle & Stroll”, continues with a new set of live bands, family events, food trucks and entertainment this Friday, May 24 beginning at 5 p.m.!  Some of the this Friday’s music includes classic rock, hip hop, blues, and gospel from bands such as Eighty Sixt, Glenn’s Gospel on the River, Your Decision, The Andy Brasher Band, and Beyond Blue.  A full schedule of live music can be found here.  In addition to all the great music, don’t forget about the Corvette Cruise-In at the Kroger Street Fair. Fun for the whole family can be found from balloon animals to the FAF photo booth to special character Princess Troll tonight, courtesy of TD’s Tuff Decisions. Live on the Banks!

Spend your Saturday nights at another one of Owensboro’s best summer events.  Saturday, May 25 beginning at 7 p.m. jam out at Live on the Banks! – the free outdoor concert series hosted at the Overlook Stage at Smothers Park and the Allen Street Pavilion.  This Saturday features the 101st Airborne Division Brass Band & Jazz Combo at the Overlook Stage and Jonathan Fuqua at the Allen Street Pavilion.  It’s another night of the finest entertainment in the region- don’t miss out!
