Annual Plant Sale – Western Kentucky Botanical Garden

The Western Kentucky Botanical Garden hosts the Annual Plant Sale Saturday, April 27 from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m., celebrating over 20 years of educating and sharing nature’s beauty with the community!  This year’s sale will be held at the Senior Community Center of Owensboro-Daviess County, formerly the Munday Activity Center @ 1650 W 2nd St, Owensboro, KY 42301.

It’s time to get your beautiful garden growing!  They have a wide selection of the best plants, herbs, and heirloom tomatoes– don’t miss out!  Cash, credit, or check are all accepted.

 

Miracle Worker

The Theatre Workshop of Owensboro presents Miracle Worker, an inspiring drama, Friday, April 26 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. and a Sunday matinee on April 28 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at The Empress Theatre.  This show tells the true story of Helen Keller a blind, deaf, and mute, young woman in danger of being institutionalized in 1880s Alabama.  Along with the help of her teacher, Helen goes on a journey to learn about the world around her. Muddfest 2019

This show is not for the faint of heart!  Hard rockers Puddle of Mudd headline an electric show at the Owensboro Sportscenter on Saturday, April 27 at 7 p.m.!  The band has sold over seven million albums to date and has had a string of number 1 mainstream rock hits, including “Control” and “She Hates Me” off of their triple-platinum album “Come Clean.”  With support from Saliva, Trapt, Saving Abel, and Tantric, Owensboro can get ready for one rocking night!  Fans should come early for the X-Fest Live Battle of the Bands pre-party outside the Owensboro Sportscenter starting at 4 p.m.! First band will perform at 4:30 p.m. with the second band scheduled to take the stage at 5 p.m.
