ROMP Fest 2019

The weather is warming up which means the season for bluegrass is almost here!  Celebrating its 16th year, the River Of Music Party (ROMP) Festival will return to Owensboro’s Yellow Creek Park, led by iconic artists and Hall of Fame members Ricky Skaggs and Del McCoury.  Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder will feature special guest Patty Loveless!  The four-day music festival will take place June 26-29 at Yellow Creek Park, a 150-acre facility known for its nature trails, winding creek and fishing lake, and sweeping tree lines.

Additional acts include bluegrass and folk-rock favorites Trampled by Turtles, Americana music icon, Steve Earle & The Dukes, and returning fan-favorites including Sam Bush, Billy Strings, and The Travelin’ McCourys.  The complete artist lineup can be seen here.

When not jamming out at one of the stages, festival goers can attend artist-led workshops ranging from instruments and songwriting to yoga and clogging.  Then, check out some of the finest from the region including organic, local farm-to-table food vendors, craft vendors featuring Kentucky Proud products, art installations and professionally-led children’s activities.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own instruments and jam throughout the weekend or dance the night away at the Late Night Stage, featuring nationally acclaimed acts in the park’s rustic Pioneer Village.  Don’t forget to check out ROMP Fest’s hidden gem’s off-site when music isn’t on the stage.  Campers are encouraged to take advantage of the O.Z. Tyler shuttle and Visit Owensboro trolley to take trips in and out of the park to explore The Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and Museum, the Western Kentucky Botanical Garden and downtown Owensboro.

ROMP is one of the most highly anticipated events of the year, and this year is bigger than ever!   Start planning for the perfect weekend by clicking here to view tickets, daily schedules, additional festival info and more.  Are you ready to go rompin’?
