Best Christmas Pageant Ever
The Theatre Workshop of Owensboro presents a beloved holiday tradition and TWO favorite, “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” for two weekends. Friday and Saturday, December 7, 8, 14, and 15 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinee on December 9 and 16 at 2 p.m. at The Empress Theatre. This show tells a hilarious yet touching tale of two families and the havoc they wreak upon a local holiday celebration. Lanham Brothers Christmas Jamboree
Make your way to the Diamond Lake Resort Good Time Theater on Saturday, December 8 for the annual Lanham Brothers Christmas Jamboree Benefit Show! The show begins at 7 p.m., featuring some of the best talent around, as well as professional sound and lighting to fundraise for Volunteer Owensboro! Guests include “Miss Kentucky” Katie Bouchard, Kings Highway, Wayne Morris, Skylar Cain, Leland Isbill, Rollie Pike, and the Footstompin’ Express Cloggers. Grammy winner and Hall of Fame member Del McCoury performs at the Bluegrass Hall of Fame & Museum’s Woodford Theatre on Saturday, December 8 at 8 p.m. Del provides the perfect blend of early sound of bluegrass that charmed hardscrabble hillbilly honky tonks and the present-day culture-buzz of viral videos and digital streams.
