The Nutcracker

A storied classic, check out Owensboro Dance Theatre’s The Nutcracker, a long-standing holiday tradition in Owensboro!  On Saturday, December 1 at 7 p.m., celebrate the joy of Christmas through music and dance at the RiverPark Center! ODT is still bringing new and innovative tricks and technology to the stage, giving the audience a surreal and entertaining experience year after year.  Experience all the magic and wonder of The Nutcracker complete with a flying bed, levitating Arabian dancer, and more special flying effects. A Very Merry Holiday Pops

The Owensboro Symphony Orchestra presents A Very Merry Holiday Pops on Saturday, December 15 at 7 p.m. at the RiverPark Center. This concert features holiday favorites, timeless classics, fresh new works, and majestic choral music with the Owensboro Symphony Chorus and a sing-along to familiar carols.  Come hear all your favorites from Sleigh Ride to The Polar Express! A Rockin’ Country Christmas

Head to the Owensboro Convention Center on Saturday, December 15 for this exciting live tribute show!  The performance features Brad McCrady as Elvis Presley, Terry Lee Ridley as Jerry Lee Lewis, Allen Hilbert as George Jones, Tiffany Puckett as Tammy Wynette, Frank Hamilton as Johnny Cash, Marla Potter as Patsy Cline, Paul Penny as Roy Orbison, Emily Portman as Loretta Lynn, and Tom Ruopp as Merle Haggard.  General Admission is $16 with seating as first come, first served.  Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m.  Grab your seats early!

 

 

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever

The Theatre Workshop of Owensboro presents a beloved holiday tradition and TWO favorite, “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” for two weekends. Friday and Saturday, December 7, 8, 14, and 15 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinee on December 9 and 16 at 2 p.m. at The Empress Theatre.  This show tells a hilarious yet touching tale of two families and the havoc they wreak upon a local holiday celebration.  Tickets to the show are $18 for adults and $12 for students when purchased in advance.  Click here to purchase yours now!  This is a show sure to keep the whole family laughing!
