One of Owensboro’s oldest holiday traditions, the Holiday Forest Festival of Trees will celebrate its 42nd anniversary with an opening gala on Saturday, November 10 from 6:30 pm. to 8:30 p.m. at the Owensboro Museum of Fine Art. This exhibition features eighteen monumental Christmas trees designed to interpret the origins of Kentucky’s bluegrass music traditions. These trees are created by local artists, florists and organizations to celebrate this genre of music through a wide variety of media. The gala will also include holiday cuisine and live entertainment by Kings Highway! Tickets to this exciting opening gala are $50 per person and $40 for Friends of the OMFA Foundation. The Holiday Forest Festival of Trees exhibit opens to the public the following day, November 11 and continues through December 31. Admission fees are $3 for adults and $2 for children. This one of Owensboro’s beautiful holiday traditions sure to awe the whole family!
