Owensboro Multicultural Festival

There’s no better place for people of all walks of life to come together, try new things and learn something new than at the First Presbyterian Church’s Owensboro Multicultural Festival!  The 20th annual Owensboro Multicultural Festival will take place on the front lawn on Saturday, August 18 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is free for the whole community!  The First Presbyterian Church states that their goal is to foster understanding and respect for everyone’s similarities and differences to build a stronger community.

Explore new food, artwork, and fashion, and enjoy dancing and music from around the world!  This festival brings together Bolivia, Japan, India, Myanmar, France, Mexico, Scotland and many other cultures for educational celebration. For entertainment, the event contains two stages that highlight a wide range of cultural traditions including Chinese dragon dancers, Middle East lotus dancers, Scottish bagpipes, Burmese dancing, drum core, and even karate.  Discover something new at one of the many international food booths or enjoy the comfort of traditional American food.

Children can participate through activities on stage, the scavenger hunt and multicultural quiz, or simply enjoying the festivities.
