Top 3 Things to Do in Owensboro This Weekend: Aug 3-5

Circus Classic

Circus Classic will be coming to Diamond Lake Campground and Lake on Saturday, August 4 at 4 p.m. with a “true, animal free, traveling circus”.  Performed live, Circus Classic is staged in a 200 by 200 tent and features acrobats, contortionists, jugglers, clowns, trapeze artists and more.  Adult tickets are $15, children $5.  Bring an unwrapped toy to donate to Christmas Wish, and get a free child ticket!  The circus is fun for the whole family!

Concert on the Lawn

Join Troy Quinn and the Owensboro Symphony for “An American Salute” at Concert on the Lawn.  The event is presented by US Bank and held at Kentucky Wesleyan College on Saturday, August 4 at 7 p.m.  Pack a picnic, grab your lawn chairs and blankets, and head to the lawn for this free community concert!  If you prefer quick and easy clean-up, a buffet will be available again due to popular demand. Feed your friends and family in your own picnic spot or reserve a table for eight. Buffet and table details can be found here.  For those with a creative flare, have fun with the “American Salute” themed table decorating contest.  Great music, food, friends and family all for free– what else could you ask for?
