All-American 4th of July

The annual city celebration will begin at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 4 along Owensboro’s beautiful downtown riverfront. 

Starting at 4 p.m., fun, free activities for the whole family will be available at the Owensboro Convention Center.  Activities and inflatables for children will be located inside all three exhibit halls.  For younger ones, the Bouncer Maze, and for older kids, Extreme Chaos Obstacle Course and Extreme Dance Party!  !  All-American concessions will be available including hamburgers, pulled pork BBQ, pizza, cotton candy and other favorites.  Reserved seating and meal packages are available for purchase at the Convention Center.  Tickets range from $9 to $35.  Click here for complete details.

Take a stroll along the riverfront as live music begins at 5 p.m., complete with food trucks and vendors along Veterans Blvd.  Performances from country artist Haley Payne, Nashville-based 12South Band, and local favorite Andy Brasher Band will take place at the McConnell Plaza Stage and The RiverPark Center Patio Stage.  Concessions, cash bars, restrooms and air-conditioned areas will be available at both the Owensboro Convention Center and the RiverPark Center.

When the sun goes down, the firework extravaganza begins!  Grab a blanket, find your favorite spot in Smothers Park, RiverPark Center or the Convention Center and enjoy the area’s largest fireworks display celebrating our nation’s birthday!
