The Owensboro Symphony Academy is announcing a new program developed by musician Kirsten Ahnell. This one-hour program offers the perfect way to learn more about classical music and the best ways to enjoy it, from conversations with the musicians to how they practice, why they wear black and many more topics.
The program will feature music by Brahms, Beethoven and other composers with
refreshments served afterwards by the Owensboro Symphony Alliance. The featured musicians include: Paula Humphreys, flute, Tracy Day, oboe, Kirsten Ahnell, clarinet, Schuyler Slack, cello and Garnet Ungar, piano.
The event is Thursday, May 8 at 7:00 p.m. at the Owensboro Symphony Academy. Tickets are available at the door: Adults – $10, children under 12 – $5. This is one of the educational and community projects the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra offers to the community.
