Owensboro, Kentucky’s Festival City
Located on the banks of the Ohio River, Owensboro is Kentucky’s third largest city. Called Kentucky’s Festival City, Owensboro holds over 20 annual Festivals and Events, most which are unique to this western Kentucky town. With great sports facilities, such as 2 large baseball/softball complexes, two 10 field soccer complexes, a brand new state-of-the-art, 4-field football complex, a 5,000 seat arena, year-round ice arena, year-round indoor sports facility, tennis courts, park facilities and several gymnasiums, it is easy to see why Owensboro received this title.
